The Team

Jodi joined Central Property in 2001 after graduating from Lincoln University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Valuation and Property Management). She specialises in residential and rural residential property in Wanaka and the surrounding areas and commercial work.

In addition, Jodi is involved with the Property Institute of New Zealand, being a member of the Graduate Special Interest Group who are currently developing a framework to help guide recent graduates through the registration process.

Selected as a Rural Field Cadet, graduating from Lincoln University in 1960, Wade supervised the development of 5 large Land Survey development blocks near Kaitaia for 3 years. He was finance officer for JE Watson & Co., an Invercargill based stock and station agency, for 7 years. In 1973 he established a valuation and farm advisory practice in Southland where he practised until 1999.

He now specialises in compensation, and in the valuation of rural properties in Southland, Otago, the West Coast and South Canterbury. He is a member of the Southland Land Valuation Tribunal and a deputy member of the Taranaki Land Valuation Tribunal.

Iain has over 18 years experience in valuation and property consultancy, having worked for a number of years in Australia where he became a fully qualified member of the Australian Institute of Valuers, the UK and other New Zealand localities prior to returning to Wanaka and establishing Central Property in 1996. Iain has subsequently sold the company to Jodi Hayward and Wade Briscoe.

Originally from a rural background, Iain attended Lincoln University from 1985-87. Iain now undertakes the majority of Central Property’s commercial work and consultancy associated with development projects that we manage for various clients.

With over 3 years experience in the Real Estate Industry and a licensed salesperson, Paula joined the Central Property team in October 2008 as a part time administrator. Having moved to Wanaka in 1984, Paula attended the Wanaka Area School then in later years Mount Aspiring College. With Paula’s vast administration experience and knowledge she takes care of the day-to-day running of the office, accounting and administration.
